Worldly Flavors. Local Sprit.

Imagine your neighborhood sushi restaurant serving dishes created by a Michelin-starred chef. Or being a regular at your corner bistro run by the 2017 Hale ‘Aina Restaurateur of the Year. That’s what it’s like when you live in Ward Village, where some of Honolulu’s most exciting restaurants are just a short stroll from your front door. From legendary restaurants like Nobu and Merriman’s, to innovative newcomers like Piggy Smalls and Scratch Kitchen, Ward Village is emerging as an epicenter of culinary excellence in Hawai’i.

Nobu Honolulu

1118 Ala Moana Blvd

World-renowned for its innovative update to Japanese cuisine, Nobu continues to offer savvy connoisseurs across the globe a unique culinary adventure. Nobu Honolulu is yet another canvas for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to display his legendary dishes.

After nearly 10 years in Waikīkī, Nobu has relocated to the new, vibrant community of Ward Village. Designed by Studio PCH, Nobu Honolulu has been crafted with love and comfort in mind, creating a refined, elegant atmosphere.

Now, with a robust bar and lounge, guests can feel free to socialize, sip cocktails, enjoy small bites, and enjoy the full Nobu treatment without the formal dining experience.

Mocha Java Café

1200 Ala Moana Blvd #215

Mocha Java Café is a proud neighborhood staple, locally owned and operated for over 30 years. With an extensive menu and breakfast served all day, there is truly something for everyone.

Whether you’re in the mood for one of Oahu’s original açaí bowls, a fluffy omelet, or one of their house-made soups, Mocha Java is the perfect comfort food spot.

Their convenient location, with plenty of seating, makes Mocha Java a favorite for taking a break from a day of shopping or grabbing a bite after a movie.

Nalu Health Bar & Café

1170 Auahi St

Owned and operated by a group of friends with a common passion for eating healthy and surfing, Nalu Health Bar & Café opened its first location in Kailua, O‘ahu, followed by their newest addition to South Shore Market.

Signature dishes include açaí bowls made with pure organic açaí imported directly from Brazil. Their ahi tuna sandwiches are also a favorite. Or for a quick pick-me-up, try one of their espresso beverages.

Salads, wraps, smoothies, and fresh juices are just a few of the healthy and delicious options made with fresh organic ingredients sourced from local farms.

Nalu’s passion comes through in every detail – from the food, to the hand-built tables you sit at, you can tell this is a labor of love.

Piggy Smalls

1200 Ala Moana Blvd

Piggy Smalls is the newest restaurant from award-winning chef Andrew Le and his team at The Pig & The Lady. In keeping with Andrew's culinary philosophy, this new iteration has a unique and eclectic menu different from the main restaurant in Chinatown.

Open 7 days a week serving lunch and dinner items, Piggy Smalls is a sit down service with playful bar menu and a dessert menu including a new slushie program, which will expand its myriad of flavors. The intent of Piggy Smalls is to be a fixture and dining destination for the emerging urban core in Kaka‘ako. Spend your Sunday having brunch with your family and/or dog in the outdoor seating area or relax inside.

Farmers’ Market

333 Ward Ave, next to Ross

Kaka‘ako Farmers’ Market provides an abundance of fresh local produce to serve the Ward Village and Honolulu community. Stroll through the market plaza and enjoy over 60 booths overflowing with Oahu’s finest local produce and locally-inspired artisan foods.

Indulge in a brick oven pizza, a sweet or savory crêpe, gluten-free baked goods, fresh fish tacos, and a vast array of delicious treats and eats.

Relax in the 70-seat café where you can enjoy the Keanu Boom Kanani Band performing throughout the day. Bring your own shopping bags to fill with the bounty of this week’s harvest fresh from local farmers and ranchers. With everything from fresh-caught fish, eggs, grass-fed beef, venison and lamb, to exotic tropical in-season fruits, you’ll be sure to fill more than a couple bags.

Lucy’s Lab Creamery

1170 Auahi St

Lucy’s Lab Creamery is a local ice cream shop in the heart of Honolulu that specializes in creating incredibly unique flavors. Developed and handmade in-house, their “Lab” offers flavors like Fruit Loop Vodka, Honey Lavender and Brownie Batter. The options are endless. And, luckily, so are the samples.
